About The Position

Join our not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors with a commitment to quality care and service in a Christian environment. As a PRN LPN, you will have the flexibility to make your own schedule and pick up shifts that work for you. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. You will ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents, contribute to their assessment, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and document resident interactions as needed. This role requires the ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary care team and communicate clearly while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
  • Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board.
  • Must complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in IV therapy/management skills if required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles relevant to the clinical setting.
  • Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status.
  • Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents and healthcare providers.
  • Counsel residents and family members on prevention and treatment plans.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
