Who You Are: We seek a candidate with a strong positive attitude towards customer service to act as a Licensed Practical Nurse for our Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care. They will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative, and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.
Requirements
- Active LPN license.
- CPR certification.
- 2 years of experience in Assisted Living.
- Geriatric rehabilitation experience with a strong understanding of restorative nursing.
- In-depth knowledge of best nursing practices, along with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the direct care of residents and nursing staff during their assigned shifts.
- Coordinates daily administrative tasks, including schedules, nursing assignments, and patient care.
- Oversees resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Monitors medical charts and provides compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families.
- Acts as a liaison to doctors, families, and administrators regarding changes in residents' conditions.
- Identifies issues or emergencies and responds in a calm and efficient manner.
- Administers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated.
- Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Ensures the accuracy and completion of clinical documentation according to FV policy and State/Federal regulations.
- Gives and receives shift reports.
