Requirements

• Licensed Graduate Practical Nurse
• Knowledge of Geriatrics
• Good physical assessment skills
• One-year experience in Nursing or LTC
• Ability to work on a team addressing the holistic needs of the Geriatric population

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical needs of Personal Care resident and takes responsibility for the total care of the residents, assessing changes in residents and making appropriate responses based on assessment.
• Works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Acts as a role model.
• Recognizes the value of each person as an individual.
• Supports and Promotes Resident strengths and abilities, capacity for social contribution, unique values, preferences, living habits, and autonomy of choice.
