LPN, Per Diem - Emergency Room - Mannington
About The Position
MAJOR FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Registered Nurse performs those patient care activities for which the/she has been prepared within the scope of the law and functions as in integral part of the nursing team. Works with the registered nurse in caring for critically ill patients; and those requiring detailed instruction, or complex treatments. These may include the following - newborn, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. Self-directed in providing sub-acute care or performing routine duties. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an approved practical nursing program. Minimum one year of LPN experience; clinical experience preferred. Experience in a medical practice environment strongly preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
- Minimum one year of LPN experience; clinical experience preferred.
- Current registration with New Jersey State Board of Nursing, American Heart Association BLS required.
- American Heart Association ACLS recommended within one (1) year.
- 4 hours of stroke education required annually.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a medical practice environment strongly preferred.
