About The Position

We are hiring a Pediatric Private Duty LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the Walker area to provide pediatric private duty care on the weekends. Case Specific Enhanced Pay Rates are available with 8-12 shifts. We offer PT hours, flexible schedules, and weekly pay! Requirements

  • Must have current LPN licensure in state of practice.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Previous home care experience preferred.
  • At a minimum, one year of experience working as a LPN.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with the plan of care.
  • Utilizes the E.V.V. (Electronic Visit Verification) program as applicable.
  • Records clinical and progress notes at the time of the visit to ensure continuity of qualitative patient care in a timely basis.
  • Prepares equipment and material for use according to the plan of care, practicing appropriate procedure technique, including administering medications as prescribed by a physician and permitted by law.
  • Assists with teaching the patient and/or family members regarding the patient care needs and other related problems of the patient at home.
  • Ensures confidentiality of patient records/information.
  • Attends team meetings and staff meetings to enhance team communication and coordination of quality services.
  • Observes, records, and reports signs and symptoms, reactions to treatments and medications, and any change in the patient's physical or emotional condition in a timely matter to the Registered Nurse and physician as applicable.
  • Participates in the organization's Performance Improvement and Compliance programs and adheres to policies and procedures.
  • All other duties assigned.
