The 4 West Tower Med/Surg Unit at Hillcrest Hospital sees a diverse patient population requiring medical, surgical and telemetry attention. As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program
• Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross

Nice To Haves

• One year of patient care experience

Responsibilities

• Collect, document and report patient data and observations to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.
