We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our resident-focused care team. This role supports a family-centered environment and ensures safe, compassionate, and individualized care for residents of all ages in our skilled nursing facility. Requirements

  • Licensed RN or LPN in Minnesota
  • RNs: Minimum associate degree in nursing
  • LPNs: Post–high school education in a specialized field with coursework qualifying you to take LPN boards
  • BLS CPR Certification with hands-on training
  • No experience required — new grads welcome!

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to work according to the current Minnesota Board of Nursing Scope of Practice for nursing licensure.
  • Must be able to administer medications and treatments, monitor health, and oversee the daily care of facility residents.
  • Must be able to interact with the interdisciplinary team, residents, and family members regularly to maintain a resident-centered, up-to-date plan of care.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and follow the orders of Medical Providers in the provision of resident care.
  • Must be recognized as the front-line team leader for each shift and feel comfortable providing guidance to direct care staff.
  • Provide emotional and social support to nursing home residents.
  • Ensure resident and staff safety.
  • Must be physically able to lift heavy objects, as well as push, pull, reach, and squat on a regular basis.
  • Complete documentation in an electronic medical record and maintain competency in basic computer use.
  • Assist with promoting good nutrition and hydration for facility residents.
  • Assist in orienting new staff members.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as requested by the Director of Nursing.
  • Participate in nursing and unit staff meetings.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to continuously enhance patient care and unit operations.
  • Must be flexible and adhere to regular, predictable attendance.
  • Must be able to commit to working every other weekend and every other holiday when in an FTE position.
