LPN or RN (Part-time)

We are seeking a part-time experienced LPN or RN to join our growing medical practice located in Skillman and Flemington, NJ. This position is ideal for a dedicated healthcare professional who is looking to contribute to a team-oriented environment without the requirement of weekend shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties that are essential to patient care and the smooth operation of our practice. The role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will escort patients to and from exam rooms, interview them to gather current and past medical histories, verify medications, and obtain vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and peak flow. You will accurately enter this data into our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Assisting the physician with examinations and treatments is a key responsibility, as well as performing various in-office procedures such as skin testing, pulmonary function testing, and patch testing. You will also be responsible for the preparation and administration of injections, educating patients and their families about care, and triaging emergency calls. Additionally, you will handle phone calls, retrieve messages from patients and other medical professionals, and manage insurance prior authorizations for medications and procedures. Proper documentation of patient data in both EMR and paper charts is crucial, as is auditing the daily schedule for accuracy regarding patients seen and tests performed. You will also be expected to review and follow up on patient testing, fax, scan, and upload patient documents into the EMR, and stock and prepare patient exam rooms. The position may require travel between satellite offices for vacation and emergency coverage, making flexibility an important aspect of this role.
