The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The Medical Assistant (MA) functions within the administration pre-defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice. We are looking for someone to join our Southpointe Family Medicine Clinic working 5 days a week. Schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm. No weekends or major holidays. Family Medicine is a team focused department with providers and nurses that are committed to providing quality patient care to the Fargo Moorhead community. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
  • If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
  • Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA).
  • Certification (CMA) obtained through a nationally approved certification program for medical assistant.
  • Registration (RMA) obtained through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) also acceptable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting
  • Certification through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
