The Thief River Falls Family Medicine Clinic has an opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). We utilize a team-based approach to patient care in a fun and supportive work environment! The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The Medical Assistant (MA) functions within the administration pre-defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice. This position offers an opportunity to work shoulder to shoulder with providers. We're looking for positive, compassionate, and team-oriented licensed practical nurses (LPN) or certified medical assistants (CMA) who can provide high-quality care that patients and families deserve.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board.
  • Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
  • Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program for CMA.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certification through a nationally approved certification program for medical assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care under supervision.
  • Educate and communicate with patients and their families.
  • Provide high-quality care in a team-based approach.
  • Pick up shifts to cover leaves, vacations, and sick call-ins.
