Requirements

  • NYS LPN license required.
  • Basic computer literacy required.
  • First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to pass test to acquire these credentials required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MICA population preferred.
  • Vaccination preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned staff.
  • Assist clients in administering medication and monitor compliance.
  • Manage caseload, chart notes, monitor and manage client health needs.
  • Prepare clients for self-medication status and monitor as needed, health assessment referrals.
  • Develop liaisons in the community and run health-related groups, offer nursing insight in service planning meetings and nutritional counseling at weekly meal planning meetings.
  • Provide in-service training to staff on medication and health related issues.
  • Record keeping as per State/OMH and agency regulations, assist part time staff psychiatrist.
  • Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
  • Related duties as assigned.
