As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients, families and visitors. You will assist with medication management, patient monitoring, administrative tasks and more. All your work helps ensure the best possible health outcomes. Additionally, you will receive ample opportunities to enhance your skills, gain hands-on experience and explore advanced positions at Cleveland Clinic. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of Accredited LPN program
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Knowledge of Infection Control Practices
• Experience with technology
• Computer literacy
• Phlebotomy background and able to draw blood

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience
• One year of experience in outpatient setting
• Experience with adult populations
• Experience with EPIC
• Neurology background

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients.
• Administer medication.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
• Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
• Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
• Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
• Follow Code Blue protocol.
