About The Position

10 Smythe is a 24 bed Acute Care Telemetry unit that provides care and services to patients who are admitted for a variety of reasons. Our primary focus is Pulmonary, Renal, Urology, and Neurology. Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Requirements

Other Accredited Program: Completion of accredited practical nurse program or currently enrolled in a nursing program. (Required)
2+ years Nursing Experience (Level II only) (Required)
Knowledge of LPN scope of practice according to the Ohio board of nursing. (Required proficiency)
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices) (Required proficiency)
Level II Only: 18 CNE's per year. • 3 CNE’s in clinical specialty • At least 5 CNE’s in Leadership • Other CNE requirements will be agreed upon with manager
Level II Only: • 3 Peer Reviews. • Committee Involvement. • 5 criteria with evidence of each.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
