What would you do as a LPN As a Full-Time LPN at Minden Medical Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on delivering high-quality patient care during the night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. You will start each shift by reviewing patient records and assessing individual needs, ensuring effective communication with physicians and nursing staff. Throughout your night shift, you’ll administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide hands-on support for daily activities. Expect to foster an empathetic environment by engaging with patients and their families, answering questions, and providing comfort as needed. Problem-solving will be a key aspect of your role as you address any arising medical concerns promptly. You will also maintain meticulous documentation of patient care and collaborate with your team to uphold safety and quality standards. What matters most To thrive as a Full-Time LPN at Minden Medical Center, you will need a blend of technical and interpersonal skills essential for delivering exceptional patient care. A current LPN licensure with the Louisiana State LPN Board of Nursing is required, along with a minimum of one year of Medical/Surgical experience preferred to ensure you are well-prepared for the challenges of the role. You must be proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software to document patient interactions accurately. Certification in BLS through the American Heart Association is mandatory, while PALS certification is a plus. Interpersonal skills are crucial, as you will work collaboratively with healthcare teams and must be comfortable floating between Med-Surg floors as needed. Demonstrating empathy, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to excellence will be vital for contributing effectively to patient well-being at Minden Medical Center. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Current LPN licensure with the Louisiana State LPN Board of Nursing required; One year Medical/Surgical experience preferred. Certification/Registration: BLS through the American Heart Association required. PALS preferred.
