Hillcrest Hospital’s 3 Main Complex Medical Care Unit provides medical, surgical, and telemetry nursing care to adult and geriatric inpatient and observation patients. This unit specializes in cardiac/post-catheterization, genitourinary, thoracic, vascular, renal, gastrointestinal, diabetes, respiratory disease, ostomy, and wound management. As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program
- Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

- One year of patient care experience
Responsibilities
- Collect, document and report patient data and observations to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.
- Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
- Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and family members.
