About the position
The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.
Responsibilities
- Administer patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Collaborate as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities.
- Contribute to the implementation of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and applicable regulatory standards.
- Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
Requirements
- Diploma Program for Practical Nursing.
- Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Certified to administer medications.
- Previous LPN experience is preferred.
