About The Position
Local Applicants Only. First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking compassionate and reliable Per-Diem Licensed Practical Nurses for the Hampton Roads area to join our team.
Requirements
- Covid Vaccine or weekly testing
- 1 Year Minimum Experience in a facility-based position
- BLS/CPR
- PPD within one year
- Active LPN License
- Must be able to lift at least 50 miles or more without Restrictions
- Must be able to stand and walk for long hours without Restrictions
- Must be able to lift and bend without Restrictions
Responsibilities
- collect data from patients
- administer medications to patients
- reinforce patient education
- provide wound care
- provide supervision to unlicensed personnel, such as nursing aides
- collect various kinds of specimen samples from patients, including urine and stool
- ensure that medical equipment is functioning properly
- call doctors and advanced providers for orders
- coordinate care for their patients
- insert peripheral intravenous lines
- perform intake and output monitoring
- clean and change tracheostomy ties
- respond to patient emergencies
- maintain logs of narcotics
- may aid patients with activities of daily living
- supervise patients in common meal areas
