Position Summary: Works under the direct supervision of the Clinic Nurse Director or Supervising RN. Will assist with daily clinic patient care (i.e. patient flow, taking patient’s history and vitals, assisting with diagnostic testing, maintenance of medical supplies, etc.)

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. LPN with current Oklahoma licensure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience: One (1) to two (2) years of continuous experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations. Responsible for taking accurate patient histories, vital signs and assessments of patient medications and complaints
  • Assist Physician with in-office and/or out of town clinics.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examinations keeping the rooms neat and clean. Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
  • Perform various types of diagnostic testing; may include holter monitors, EKGs
  • Perform various types of treatments as directed, such as suture or staple removal, wound care, etc
  • Use independent judgment when triaging and processing patient telephone calls according to physician’s guidelines
  • Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
  • Perform phlebotomy skills, on occasion as necessary
  • Review patient’s charts and records for completeness prior to clinic visits
  • Schedule appointments for patients as necessary
