About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Skilled Nursing Facility regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our facility in Minneapolis, MN - Jones-Harrison Nurse schedule includes: 16 hours per two weeks. Day shift Every other weekend Sat/Sunday and holiday rotation Benefits (paid time off, matching retirement) Ebenezer Ridges Care Center highlights a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Intergenerational Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. Provides skilled nursing care such as; implementing practitioners’ orders, ordering and assisting with medications and supplies, operates medical equipment, and charting practices Lifts and transfer residents as needed, Initiates emergency treatment as needed Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff Updates RN with current observation and completes documentation of resident health status Communicates changes in residents conditions to relevant individuals May support RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements and care plans

Requirements

  • MN LPN licensure
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers (3 week grace period for BLS)
  • Able to work independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Comfortable using computers, hand held devices, phones and fax machine
