The float would cover a 50mi radius of clinics. Applies in-depth expertise to provide expert patient care and clinical leadership by assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering treatments and medications, collaborating with healthcare teams, and advocating for patients. Leverages advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and experience to deliver quality, evidence-based care and contribute to the overall improvement of patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • Less than 5 years work experience
  • National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) required.
  • Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Basic awareness of digital literacy skills.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with customers and community.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate option.
  • Ability to function in clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics of clinical staff and patients.
  • Associate's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Administers oral medications, injections (intramuscular or subcutaneous), intravenous medications and topical medications.
  • Analyzes complex patient conditions and documents pain levels and response towards treatments.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of vital sign monitoring to record abnormalities or changes in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
  • Conducts various routine assessments (mental health, pain, nutritional, physical) to determine the patient condition and ensure the well-being of patients.
  • Controls patient access to healthcare and provides community resources to patients regarding medication administration, self-care techniques, and disease management when resources are limited.
  • Coordinates wound care to determine the most appropriate interventions and monitoring for healing.
  • Designs medication assessments to assess potential side effects and/or interactions.
  • Develops mental health assessments to screen for depression and observe the mood, behavior, and cognitive abilities of the patient.
  • Documents illnesses, medications, allergies, surgeries, and family history within the electronic medical record system.
