LPN- Licensed Practical Nurse
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Comprehensive Home Care/Nursing Home and Transitional Care unit regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our welcoming Skilled Nursing Facility in Minneapolis, MN. Nursing schedule includes; Casual / on call Evening or overnight shift Must work a minimum of three shifts per month, which includes two weekend shifts per month and one holiday per year Celebrating 135 years of service, Jones-Harrison Senior Living is conveniently located close to the metro bus stops off Cedar Lake Ave./Drew Ave. S. and Cedar Lake Ave./France Ave. S. in Minneapolis. Requirements
- MN LPN licensure
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
- BLS is required upon hire and/or new hire must show proof that they are currently enrolled in a BLS class to renew or obtain their certification. BLS certification must be obtained within three-weeks of hire date and before nurse can perform independent practice
- 0-1 years of experience
- Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines
Nice To Haves
- Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree
- 1-3 years of experience
- MS Office, Excel, and Word
- Point Click Care knowledge
Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing cares and treatments
- Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff
- Maintains current observation and documentation of resident health status
