Works under the direction of a qualified professional nurse. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department and within the parameters of his/her preparation. Cooperates with the members of the nursing and medical staffs and other hospital departments. Hours / Days of work Routine shifts. Hours and days off may vary. Weekend/holiday rotation required. Overtime/rotation of shifts may be required. Physical Abilities/Working Conditions Will work in an inside environment with temperature control. Work routines are subject to change frequently on short notice. Possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as infectious/communicable diseases, noise, blood and blood-borne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases, dusts, and physical injury and/or verbal abuse from out-of-control patients. Frequent exposure to distressed patients, families, or visitors. Ability to function effectively under stressful situations.
