Requirements

Current and valid LPN license in the state of Wisconsin.
Up-to-date TB certification.
Reliable transportation.
Dependable, punctual, and committed to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Educate patients and their families by providing preoperative, postoperative, and ongoing health teaching.
Administer medications, including oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections, and accurately document all dosages and times.
Deliver ancillary medical care such as wound dressing, enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, massages, and application of compresses, ice bags, or hot water bottles.
Monitor and record vital signs to maintain patient stability.
Support patient nutrition by checking food trays for prescribed diets, feeding patients, and tracking food and fluid intake and output.
Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, walking, and turning.
Observe and promptly report any adverse reactions to medications or treatments to nursing supervisors.
Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring items like catheters, tracheostomy tubes, and oxygen supplies are available and ready for use.
