The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director, provides nursing care to patients and assists with patient education. Assists provider during the treatment and examination of patient, and administers procedures and treatments as directed by the provider. The LPN should be prepared to handle the triage of patient calls; including prescription refills in accordance to refill protocols. The LPN is able to maneuver in the patient electronic health record (EMR) and documents patient vitals, and other pertinent information appropriately. Customer service skills are essential in all aspects of this position.

  • Provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director.
  • Assist provider during the treatment and examination of patients.
  • Administer procedures and treatments as directed by the provider.
  • Handle the triage of patient calls, including prescription refills.
  • Document patient vitals and other pertinent information in the electronic health record (EMR).
  • Give immunizations and document patient information on intake.
  • Order pertinent medical supplies and keep inventory stocked.
  • Utilize computer software for patient documentation and provide documentation to patients as needed.
  • Adhere to policies/procedures for patient medications and testing.
  • Kansas LPN License.
  • Associate’s Degree or Graduate of a Technical School.
  • BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association.
  • No Previous Experience Required.
