LPN II- Nexton Children's After Hours Clinic (Part-Time)
About The Position
MUSC Children’s Health After Hours Care Nexton is a pediatric outpatient clinic that falls under the Shawn Jenkin’s Children’s Hospital at MUSC. During the day, we host a variety of pediatric subspecialists such as pediatric pulmonary, GI, endocrinology, ENT, and cardiology only to name a few. In addition to that, we provide a walk-in After Hours Care, which is a direct extension of our pediatric emergency department to serve our community during the hours when most pediatricians are closed. This position requires working three 8-hour shifts per week in afterhours, including every other weekends. Hours of Operation: • Day Clinic Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM • Afterhours Monday - Friday: 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM • Weekends & Holidays: 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA)
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Nice To Haves
- One year of LPN experience preferred.
