About The Position

The LPN I position at Gallatin Family Wellness involves performing clinical tasks under the direction of an RN and/or Physician in the Physician Clinic. The role includes contributing to patient assessments by collecting data for analysis, performing care interventions such as specimen collection and wound care, and documenting patient care. The LPN will monitor and communicate the patient's status and reactions to interventions, advocate for the patient's well-being, and provide education to patients and their families throughout their clinic visit. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• LPN education required to obtain LPN licensure.
• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Computer skills required.
• Current TN or Multi-State LPN licensure.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required within 90 days of hire if not current upon hire.
• 1 year LPN experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Family Practice and/or Specialty Physician Clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication as required.
• Document patient care given.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient's status and reactions to interventions.

• Teach and reinforce education to patients and/or families during clinic visits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
