Overview: 0.9FTE, 36 hours per week, 7p-730a; every third weekend; holiday rotation About our Unit: 16-bed, single room design unit for neonatal patients who no longer require acute intensive care. Patients are centrally monitored. Patient population of this unit will vary from convalescing pre-term infants to near term infants. Some diagnoses that may be found include Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Hyperbilirubinemia, and feeding difficulties requiring evaluation. Patients will be followed by Neonatology service. Typical patient characteristics include: • Hemodynamically stable, Minimal oxygen support, Medication support does not include fluid boluses or vasopressors, Less frequent lab monitoring required (less than once per day with exception of glucose), Feeding support - oral, OG/NG feedings. Job Description Summary: Provides technical nursing care, administers medication and assists with patient assessments and care planning under the supervision of a registered nurse. Job Description: Essential Functions: Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or advanced practice providers. Monitors patients' vital signs and records their medical histories. Assists physicians and registered nurses in performing medical procedures. Provides emotional support and education to patients and their families. Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
