Marymount Hospital’s Geriatric Psych Unit offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency programs and patient services, such as medication management, structured therapeutic programming, recreational activities, nutrition and medication education, and multi-sensory stimulation therapy. As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Nice To Haves
- One year of patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
- Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
- Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and family members.
