Join the WellStar Enterprise Support Team (WEST) as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Float Pool, where you will provide exceptional patient care across various facilities based on staffing needs. Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical LPN experience in an acute care setting required.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficient assessment and clinical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Initial and annual competency educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient needs, following physician orders under RN supervision.
• Perform routine nursing procedures as needed to support patient care.
• Meet established productivity standards.
• Collaborate with RNs and team members to coordinate patient care.
• Notify RNs and supervisors of any changes in patient conditions.
• Work with RNs to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by RN leadership.
• Educate patients and caregivers to promote self-care and support.
• Report any safety concerns to appropriate authorities or leadership.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Understand and apply regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in team conferences and check secure messaging daily.
• Assist in the training of new employees.
• Attend required continuing education and in-services.
• Stay current with clinical knowledge.
• Comply with all Wellstar Health System policies and standards.
