About The Position

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a Licensed Practice Nurse program and have a current LPN license.
• Must have current BLS certification.
• At least one year of experience in a clinic or medical environment desired.
• ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician or mid-level provider with direct patient care.
• Collect current symptoms and patient history and document in the EMR.
• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
• Participate in controlled substance counts as needed according to policy and state law.
• Work directly under providers, assisting them during exams, diagnostic testing, and treatments.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with clinical providers, clients, and community agencies.
• Attend facility new hire orientation as scheduled by HR.
• Complete Department Orientation Initial Competency within 7 days of hire date.
• Complete Department Initial Skills Competency within 90 days of hire date.
• Follow facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures.
• Respect cultural and religious practices of patients from all backgrounds.
• Follow HIPAA regulations at all times.
• Dress within the dress code requirements of the facility.
• Identify all patients using at least two identifiers verbally (name and DOB), and by checking ID bracelet.
• Interact with physicians, guests, staff, and patients pleasantly, cooperatively, and effectively.
