About The Position
Homestead Health Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for one of their communities in Livonia. The LPN will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to residents, ensuring their well-being, and maintaining a supportive and nurturing environment.
Requirements
- Current and valid LPN license in Michigan
- Proven experience of successful nursing role in a senior living or long-term care environment; most of which should be in a management role
- Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and the Nurse Practice Act
- Ability to relate positively to residents, their families, employees, and the community at large with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Communication with pharmacies
- Monitor and assess residents' health status, noting any changes and reporting them promptly, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Leading our resident assistants and med techs to ensure superior care (patient assessments, audits, and staff training)
- Supervise and support Caregivers in delivering care
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
