Work Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 Salary Range: $20.73 - $28.68 Union Position: Yes Department Details Float between various departments, gaining experience in diverse areas of expertise in the Bemidji area! -No weekends or holidays -PRN hours between: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.

Requirements

  • Must have graduated from a school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility.
  • Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in practical nursing is preferred.
  • Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
  • Documents a thorough medical history from patient.
  • Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
  • Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Counseling patients and family members, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans.
  • The LPN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.
  • In departments where applicable, responsibilities may include patient scheduling, insurance and guarantor validation, and verification of demographic information.
  • Additional tasks may involve coordinating provider schedules across multiple locations and managing daily scheduling adjustments.
