This job provides direct care (including IV therapy) to assigned patients within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Practice Act under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse; directs and assists ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties; interacts with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel; exhibits professional responsibility; assumes responsibility for own practice; assists in procedures competently and professionally; skills to understand the basic principles of anatomy and physiology associated with GI procedures; and assures appropriate handling and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
