Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program.
  • Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
  • If in ED, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross within one year of hire in ED settings.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
  • Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
  • Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests.
  • Educate patients and family members.
