Full-Time position scheduled 36 hours per week - 12-hour shifts., with a weekend rotation and holiday commitment. ER: 53-bed Emergency Department is a fast-paced, dynamic environment providing comprehensive emergency care for patients of all ages. As a Level II Trauma Center, we deliver advanced, life-saving interventions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage critical cases. The ER team is committed to excellence in patient care, rapid decision-making, and compassionate service during urgent and emergent situations.
SUMMARY: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions as a collaborative member of the health care team in partnership with and under supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN)/provider utilizing principles of Relationship-Based Care through the effective implementation of specific aspects of the nursing process, performs direct patient care to a specific group of patients, and coordinates activities which relate to the flow of unit processes. The LPN acts within the scope of practice congruent with their education and licensure. Care includes the administration of medications as authorized. Demonstrates unit/area competencies. The LPN may not delegate tasks to or supervise other licensed or non-licensed health professionals. The LPN actively supports the activities of the unit based shared governance council. Promotes organizational commitment and excellence in the patient care experience.

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing
• Requires current and active license to practice as LPN in State of Michigan.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
