About The Position

The LPN position at Orlando Health Medical Group - DPH Urology is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, with a shift from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. The position involves providing and documenting individualized patient care, including patient evaluation, education, medication administration, IV therapy, treatments, and ensuring patient safety as directed by the RN or provider. The practice is located at 2101 Park Center Drive, Orlando, FL 32835.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
  • Current nursing license in the State of Florida renewed every two years.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
  • Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing education.
  • Meets all mandatory and developmental requirements and performance competencies for Orlando Health and unit/department.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment as defined by unit specific requisite skills.
  • Communicates appropriate information regarding the patient’s condition to the RN and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintains a safe and caring environment for both patient and family.
  • Assumes an active role in keeping informed about changes in hospital policy, procedure and equipment.
  • Participates in nursing PI activities as assigned.
  • Demonstrates awareness of legal issues, patient rights and compliance with the standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
  • Demonstrates the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Practices efficient use of supplies.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and organized unit.
