About The Position

ARS Treatment Centers specialize in outpatient treatment of those addicted to opiates. Our clinic is one of ten locations in the mid-Atlantic region that provides specialized outpatient services through medication-assisted treatment. We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team! The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for dispensing any medications the clinic may utilize in the treatment of patients. The LPN Dispensing Nurse is responsible for the completeness of all medical aspects of the medical record and works with the Director of Nursing to assure appropriate medical care for patients.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Some understanding of substance abuse.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when needed
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Successful completion of State required background check and required training.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up for dispensing of medication and dispenses medication.
  • Monitors medication inventory and reports to charge nurses.
  • Reconciles inventory of Methadone and Suboxone at conclusion of dosing
  • Signs and processes physician orders. Enters notes and inputs flags as per physician orders
  • Processes phase change requests
  • Participates on Treatment team and regular Medical Meetings as per Licensure standards.
  • Be proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies.
