About The Position

The Clinic LPN provides primary care nursing, patient education, health care maintenance, patient counseling, and normative care services to patients at Peoples Community Health Clinic. Works with providers and administers nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Assists with the planning, development and implementation of health education programs and materials, and provides assistance to and supervision of the Patient Clinical Representatives in areas of nursing beyond their scope of practice. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic. The Certified Medical Assistant facilitates quality patient care by providing support to the healthcare team and ensuring a positive patient experience. Under the general supervision of and as delegated by a licensed provider and/or nurse, the CMA performs clinical and administrative duties consistent with their certification, training, and state regulations. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or completion of Medical Assistant program required.
  • Current Iowa LPN licensure or current Medical Assistant Certification required
  • Current BLS or CPR/First Aid certification
  • Mandatory reporter training for child and dependent adult abuse certificate
