About The Position

This role involves working as an LPN or CMA within CentraCare's Behavioral Health departments, focusing on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The position requires adherence to established policies, procedures, and clinical standards. As a vital team member of the Behavioral Health Department, the individual will be cross-trained in Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to assist with providing compassionate and comprehensive care to all patients. Success in this position requires the ability to work well both independently and in a team setting, communicate effectively with patients and coworkers, and possess the ability to assess situations, problem solve, and handle tasks proactively.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (for LPNs)
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Minnesota (for LPNs)
  • AED and CPR training per established policy (for LPNs and CMAs)
  • Workplace Violence Prevention Initial and on-going training (for LPNs and CMAs)
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (for CMAs)
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) (for CMAs)
  • Must be at least 21 years old if supervising residents at Addiction Medicine Adolescent or Clara’s House.
  • For persons employed in a Recovery Plus service with direct client contact, must have been free of chemical use problems for at least the two years immediately preceding hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
