About The Position

The Clinical Coordinator II reports to Practice Manager and is a credentialed Certified LPN employed by Erlanger Health System. The Clinical Coordinator II is responsible for supervision of all clinical staff members in an Erlanger-owned physician practice. This position oversees the various clinical and patient flow activities of the physician office services, including maintaining proper scheduling requirements under residency program guidelines, recommending the hiring, termination and necessary disciplinary action pertaining to all licensed practical nurses and medical assistants employed within the clinic. In addition, this position provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of practice physicians and works with resident physicians to promote an effective learning/training environment. Other position functions include: Supervises of all patient preparation functions, serves as lead OSHA representative, responsible for maintaining TJC/DNV compliance standards in all clinical areas, including completely quarterly auditing reports, works with Practice Manager/Supervisor and Clinical Coordinator lll in establishment of yearly clinical budgets, responsible for financial and cost-effective management and stocking of supplies, medications, and equipment, supports other general practice operations in collaboration with Practice Manager/Supervisor and Clinical Coordinator lll, maintains patient confidentiality in all phases of clinical area.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an Accredited School of Practical Nursing
  • Minimum three years' experience in a physician office setting
  • Previous computer experience
  • Valid license to practice as a Practical Nurse registered in the State of Tennessee
  • BLS completed prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward
