The Primary Care team provides comprehensive healthcare for patients and families and focuses on preventing diseases and promoting health and wellness. Services range from preventive care, such as screenings and immunizations, to sick visits and chronic disease management. As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Experience with technology
  • Computer literacy

  • One year of clinical experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients.
  • Administer medication.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
  • Recognize changes in patients' status and report pertinent information to Charge Nurse or Physicians.
  • Educate patients, families and others.
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
  • Follow Code Blue protocol.
