About The Position

The Certified-Registered Medical Assistant (MA) provides professional care through the application of clinical skills and processes to assigned patients. This individual provides direct care and works collaboratively with other members of the care team to achieve optimal patient care. This incumbent has access to confidential patient information, provides direct patient care, and functions clinically under the direct supervision of the physician. If working in a Scribe role this individual enters information into the Electronic Medical Record or Chart at the direction of a physician or licensed independent practitioner. The Scribe does not and may not act independently but documents the physician's or licensed independent practitioner's dictation and/or activities. This incumbent also reports to the practice manager or designee. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to assigned patients. This individual provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other members of the care team to achieve optimal patient care. This incumbent has access to confidential patient information, provides direct patient care, has the authority to make independent decisions within scope of practice, and functions clinically under the direct supervision of the physician. This incumbent also reports to the clinic manager or designee for non-clinical functions.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or LPN, RN with Current Ohio license.
• Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• Successful completion of Adena skills assessment and written test annually.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification required.
• 1-2 years experience in medical office or similar capacity.

Nice To Haves

• Medical office experience preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in similar capacity if acting in the Scribe role.

Responsibilities
