The MA III performs administrative duties that might include, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records under the direct supervision of a supervisor or provider. Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies. This position will involve the administration of medications. The LPN performs administrative duties that include, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records. Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics and medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies. This position will involve the administration of medications as ordered by the physician. Performs specific competencies as directed by the department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Graduated from or Completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship (required effective 9/1/20 for MA III).
  • Graduate of a state board accredited practical nursing program (required for LPN).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficient Computer skills.
  • Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP (required for MA III).
  • Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri (required for LPN).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people.
  • Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting.
  • Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting.
  • IV certification in State of Missouri.

Responsibilities
