The Cleveland Clinic Cancer Institute at Weston hospital offers comprehensive hematology and oncology services, including specialized care for blood disorders and cancers, with a focus on patient-centered, collaborative care and innovation. The clinic provides a range of services, including diagnosis, treatment and prevention of blood cancers and related disorders. As an LPN on our team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Experience with technology
  • Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clinical experience
  • Previous experience in oncology
  • Advanced knowledge of chemotherapy medications and protocols

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients.
  • Administer medication.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.

  • Monitoring and evaluating the patients progress through the entire continuum of car in conjunction with the R.N. or physician.
