As an LPN for Geriatrics in Internal Medicine, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program
  • Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Experience with technology
  • Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of clinical experience
  • IV certification
  • Manual blood pressure certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients.
  • Administer medication.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
  • Follow Code Blue protocol.
