As an LPN on the Family Medicine team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works 8:00AM – 6:00PM.

Requirements

• Graduate of Accredited LPN program
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Experience with technology
• Computer literacy

• One year of clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients.
• Administer medication.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
• Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
• Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
• Recognize changes in patients' status and report pertinent information to Charge Nurse or Physicians.
• Educate patients, families and others.
• Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
• Follow Code Blue protocol.
