As an LPN for Cardiovascular Medicine, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care to a diverse patient population. You will conduct patient outreach prior to cardiology procedures, providing reminders regarding diet and medication adjustments, and manage pre- and post-operative patient calls. In this role, you will make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while continuing to develop your nursing skills through hands-on experience and the educational resources available within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Experience with technology
  • Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

  • One year of outpatient clinical experience
  • Experience in Cardiology
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients.
  • Administer medication.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
  • Follow Code Blue protocol.
