Our Department of Allergy and Clinical Immunology is one of the largest in the United States, dedicated to excellence in patient care, research, education, and advocacy. We provide comprehensive, evidence-based diagnosis and management for adults and children with a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions, including asthma, food allergies, eczema, seasonal and year-round allergies, anaphylaxis, sinusitis, hives, angioedema, drug allergies, and immune deficiencies. As an LPN on our team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this role works days from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Experience with technology
• Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience
• Previous allergy experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients.
• Administer medication.
• Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
• Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
• Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
• Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
• Follow Code Blue protocol.
