About The Position
The LPN Charge Nurse plays a pivotal leadership role within the healthcare team at CCMCF, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. This position is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, coordinating patient care activities, and serving as a critical liaison between nursing personnel, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Requirements
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN) license in the Michigan.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields is a plus, but not required.
- Demonstrated leadership or charge nurse experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the treatment of assigned residents.
- Supervise and coordinate nursing activities to ensure optimal patient care and staff performance.
- Monitor patient conditions and intervene as necessary to address changes or emergencies.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct shift reports and facilitate effective communication during handoffs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs.
- Maintain accurate resident medical records using an electronic medical record.
