About The Position

The position of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) focuses on providing direct patient care. The LPN will be responsible for rooming the patients daily, to include manual blood pressures, O2, weight, heart rate. Attention to detail is of the utmost importance for medication reconciliation. The LPN will also be responsible for obtaining test results and with collaboration of the provider, generating orders or phone calls to the patient.

Requirements

• Graduate from an LPN nursing program.
• Current or pending Colorado nursing license.
• BCLS certification upon hire.
• Experience in a clinic setting preferred but will train.
• Knowledge of basic ECG strips helpful.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Computer skills and experience with electronic medical records.
• Self-directed and able to multitask.
• Friendly and positive interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of basic cardiac care.
• Experience working with all age groups.
• Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons including patients.
